About

I practice Thai massage and Therapeutic massage, both of which have many benefits but utilize different techniques to achieve results. Thai massage is practiced fully clothed on a mat on the floor, while therapeutic massage is practiced on a table under a sheet. I work in Arvada Wednesday through Sunday. Visit my contact page for location information.

Thai massage:

Thai massage is a 2500 year old practice. Rooted in Shamanism, Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and Hatha Yoga, it uses a combination of compression, acupressure, joint mobilization, and stretching. The Thai people use it in hospitals as a treatment form for lifestyle illnesses, disease, and injury. Thai massage releases stuck energy, or congestion within the muscle fibers. This facilitates healing within the body. Alongside Reiki, it benefits the body as well as the mind. Visit my blog to learn more about the history of Thai massage and its benefits. Thai herbal compresses, pictured above, are filled with a variety of herbs, heated, and applied to the muscles during the massage to increase blood flow and help with pain relief.

Therapeutic massage:

Therapeutic massage is performed on a table and incorporates Eastern (Thai, Chinese, and Ashiatsu) and Western (Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial release) techniques. These work to warm the muscles, assist in pain relief, and facilitate self-healing. CBD oil can be used to add to the benefits of the therapeutic massage. I also use Reiki in the therapeutic session to move energy within the body in order to calm the muscles and the mind.

Reiki:

Reiki, or healing touch, moves energy within the body. It is a healing technique based on the principle that the practitioner can channel energy within the client by means of touch to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being. However, if the practice of Reiki does not interest you I will use it only upon request.
